Highlights of Taiwan Nov 2012 Itinerary

Here’s my Nov 12 Taiwan Itinerary.

For this Taiwan Nov 12 trip, I had engaged a driver for 6 days – to cover Miaoli, Taichung, Cingjing (including photography), Fushoushan for autumn leaves and Yilan.  After that, a few days in Taipei – free & easy via mrt.

Why we engaged a driver ?  Having a driver will be more hassle free for our trip and we can cover more places within a day, and also do not need to waste time to wait and travel via public transportation.

Finding a driver for 4 person is easier and can fit in Toyota Wish. For 5 adults with 5 luggages, we need a bigger car, a 9 seater van.  The cost of a bigger car will be more ex too.

Finally, through the recommendation of my Yilan minsu (Beautiful Ilan, click here to see my post), we found a driver, Mr Zhu for our 6 days trip.  Mr Zhu was a nice and accomodating person.  We all had a good trip with him.  He would take the intiative to explain some attractions and also helped us to take group photo.

Here’s a short travelogue of my Taiwan itinerary Nov 12 trip .  If you need to know any specific attractions, let me know.

Normally, November wasn’t a raining season. However, there was no rain for the past 2 months. We had rainy days for most of our trip, esp day 2 & 3. Due to the rain, my itinerary was disrupted and some of my planned attractions need to be skipped. Also note that it would be dark about 5pm plus.

Our trip all started when we saw that Scoots was flying to Taipei and there was a fare promotion. We managed to get some cheap tickets (about $350).

Day 1 桃园机场- 苗栗銅鑼杭菊花节 Tongluo Chrysanthemum flower festival – 勝興車站 Shengxing train station – 龍騰斷橋 Longteng bridge – 金榜面午餐 (skip) – 南庄老街 Nanzhuang Old Street – 橄欖樹民宿 Olive tree minsu

Day 2 苗栗Miaoli- 香菇街 Mushroom street – 新社古堡 Shinshe castle – 午餐 阿榮甕缸雞 Lunch -新社花海 (skip cos rain) – 南天宫 Temple- 宮原眼科 Miyahara– 文華道會館 (In One Taichung Hotel)

Day 3 台中- 紫南宫 Temple – 妖怪村 Monster Village- 內湖國小 Neihu Pri School – 清境 Cingjing -歐鄉美邸民宿 Euro Country Villa Minsu →晚上清境特色風味餐（雲南擺夷餐）Dinner

Day4 早上在清境拍摄 (青青草原) Cingjing Photography – 午餐 – 合欢山 Hehuansan – 梨山民宿 Lishan minsu

Day 5 福壽山農場 Fushoushan (天池／藍茵湖／高山池塘／福壽山莊果林步道／鴛鴦湖楓葉道、松盧) – 大漁部屋民宿 Tairyo Yilan minsu (located in Jiaoxi)

Below is the Yilan Minsu – Tairyo room picture and Japanese dinner.  We had a sumptuous dinner and even the breakfast was very delicious (last right corner pix) !

Day 6 早上宜兰景点 (蘭陽博物館 Lanyang Museum／ 城堡咖啡館 Mr Brown Coffee Castle) – LIVE食尚藝廊午餐 Yilan No Menu restaurant – 石碇 ShiDing Thousand Island Lake – 十分放天灯 Shifen sky lantern – 九份 Jiufen – 回台北 Taipei

Here’s a picture of our lunch at Livefood restaurant (No Menu restaurant).  Really a lot of food and we were super full after the meal.  Cost is $600twn per pax.
