Taiwan 2013 Jul Trip – Day 1 Airport to Taichung – Seeking Motel 台中覓境行館 (Part 1)

I took the Scoots flight and reached there very early about 545am.  The flight landed in Terminal 1 and I realised the Telecoms booth only opened at 8am.  I decided to take the airport train to T2 as the Telecom booth opened at 7am.  There is a food court at basement and we bought some light food at 7-11 while waiting till 7am.   After I got the SIM card, I took the coach straight to Taichung for one night stay.

Coach counter for Taipei, Taichung buses.

U-bus coach

The bus journey to Taichung Chao Ma stop was about 2 hours.  We took the U-bus as it was the next earliest departing bus.  The other coach was Freego.  I had already planned to check into the Seeking Motel 台中覓境行館 for 3 hour rest.  The motel was within walking distance from the bus alighting point.  (With help of GPS, need to cross a traffic light and after that, look for Qinghai nan street 青海南街 – about 10mins walk)  On the way to the motel, we found a bakery shop Olivialove Bakery and went back to eat breakfast after check-in. The bread was freshly baked and it was very delicious, even the simple raisin bread was so good !!

Cars can drive-in directly to the room.  There is a garage for each room.

The motel has several room types and the bigger rooms will be more expensive.   You  can also book for a night stay.  The location was not too far away from fengjia night market.

The one that I chose was a 3 hour rest stay – Teana room $1080 twn.  The room had 47 inch rotary TV, WIFI, Big Jacuzzi for 2, Mini-bar with free drink and cookies.  Below are some pictures of the Teana room.

Just saw a new hotel called iCloud hotel just opened in May 2014 (located next to Seeking Motel).   If you need a few hours rest, you can go there too.
