Taitung minsu Romeo

This is the Taitung minsu which I stayed in July 13.  This minsu is in the Taitung city area.  Here is my  July 2013 itinerary.

Taitung Romeo minsu was a new minsu which started in July 13.  The boss has a local well-known established restaurant and they decided to renovate the old house that was above the restaurant.  The minsu was located inside an alley and you wouldn’t know that there was a nice minsu hidden there!

There was a spacious lobby area with hot/cold water dispenser.

More rooms upstairs.

The room pictures were exactly the same as the website (http://romeo.ttbnb.net).  The room decor was simple, yet tastely decorated.

When I opened the door, the room has a nice wood aroma smell.   The room prices ranged from 1600 twn (wkday) for a spacious two person room with ensuite, comfy bed (good mattress & pillow), hair dryer, WIFI – that’s pretty cheap !  I would say the minsu’s fixtures were of good quality – solid wood !   I also viewed one of the 4 person room and I really liked the room design with a dining table too.

We got free pick-up from minsu at Taitung train station.  The location was superb as it was within walking distance to the 7-11, famous local food stall and night market.

We stayed 2 nights in Romeo and enjoyed our stay very much.  We had an great day trip with the boss to the nearby taitung attractions, especially the Hot Balloon festival.  A must visit to the balloon festival if you are in Taitung !  The atmosphere was really great !

In short, we really enjoyed the interactions and were impressed by the personal touch of the minsu stay.  Thanks to the boss’s generous hospitality !

Do try their restaurant which is downstairs ! It has pretty good taiwanese dishes, especially the kimchi pork which is so delicious with rice !
